In 2012, the Union County Prosecutor’s Office Child Advocacy Center (“Center”) moved to its current location on West Jersey Street in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
This new state-of-the-art facility improved how survivors of child sexual abuse and their families report and receive necessary care. The center houses and streamlines investigative, prosecutorial, and therapeutic services all under one roof, i.e., a wrap-around service model.
The Friends of the Child Advocacy Center of Union County (“The Friends”) provided critical support for this new facility and has continued to raise funds to assist child and teen abuse survivors and their families in Union County.
Our fundraising efforts have provided financial support for:
- the salary of a licensed trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy clinician;
- basic supplies not available from other sources; and
- a public awareness campaign to prevent child drowning in New Jersey.
The Center’s work is never truly done. By supporting the Friends, you are helping to pave the road to recovery for the most vulnerable crime victims in the County, offering them a chance to move from darkness to light. Thank you for your interest in, and support of, the Friends of the Child Advocacy Center of Union County.
The Friends of the Child Advocacy Center of Union County, New Jersey, is a 501(c)(3) organization.
